Despite an initial setback of losing his first service game, Djokovic quickly recovered and claimed the first set in just 30 minutes, committing a mere two unforced errors.

Djokovic first won the Miami title in 2007 at the age of 19. This Sunday, he will compete for his hundredth career title against either Jakub Mensik or Taylor Fritz.

Djokovic expressed his admiration for Messi`s presence, stating it was a great honor to play in front of him for the first time. He acknowledged Messi`s enduring career and noted their shared birth year, 1987, finding it special to have Messi supporting him.
