Novak Djokovic showcased a commanding performance to advance to the Miami Open final, defeating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. The match was notably attended by football superstar Lionel Messi.
The world-renowned champion needed only 69 minutes to achieve a decisive 6-2, 6-3 victory over his Bulgarian opponent.
Djokovic, aged 37, is now one step closer to securing his milestone 100th career title, which would also be his record seventh in Miami. This tournament marks his first significant event since partnering with Andy Murray as part of his coaching team.
Despite an initial setback of losing his first service game, Djokovic quickly recovered and claimed the first set in just 30 minutes, committing a mere two unforced errors.
He maintained control throughout the second set, rarely facing any threat of losing serve. Djokovic missed only six first serves in the entire match, confidently booking his place in his eighth Miami final and his first final appearance since Shanghai in October.
