Jake Paul officially ranked as cruiserweight in latest WBA rankings

MMA News

Jake Paul has officially achieved a ranking in professional boxing.

Following a string of recent victories, Paul has been placed at No. 14 in the World Boxing Association`s (WBA) latest cruiserweight rankings.

This new ranking brings “The Problem Child” a step closer to his stated goal of competing for a world championship. The 28-year-old boxer currently holds a professional record of 12 wins and 1 loss, with his only defeat being a split decision against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Since that bout, Paul has accumulated six consecutive wins. These include a unanimous decision victory over former UFC star Nate Diaz approximately six months after his loss, followed by back-to-back first-round knockout finishes against Andre August in December 2023 and Ryan Bourland in March 2024.

Paul also competed twice more during 2024. He secured a dominant sixth-round technical knockout victory over BKFC competitor Mike Perry. Perry had stepped in as a late replacement for Mike Tyson on the July fight card. The highly anticipated bout against Tyson was later rescheduled for November, where Paul earned a unanimous decision win in a widely-viewed event streamed on Netflix.
