Joe Rogan Returns for UFC 316 Broadcast, Teddy Atlas Joins

MMA News

Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan is scheduled to return to the broadcast booth for UFC 316, which takes place this Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Rogan, who did not commentate at the previous event, UFC 315 in Canada, will be back alongside play-by-play announcer Jon Anik and fellow analyst and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier.

Filling out the rest of the broadcast team for the event are several notable names. Boxing trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas will serve as a lead analyst, joined by recently retired UFC veteran Anthony Smith and popular personality Chael Sonnen to provide additional fight analysis.

Reporting duties from cageside will be handled by Karyn Bryant, while Din Thomas will offer tactical insights as a coach during the broadcast.

UFC 316 is headlined by two significant bantamweight title contests. The main event features Merab Dvalishvili making his second title defense in a rematch against the fighter he defeated for the belt, Sean O’Malley. This marks O`Malley`s first fight since their initial bout last September.

In the co-main event, Julianna Pena aims to defend her women`s bantamweight championship for the first time against two-time Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison. Harrison comes into this title challenge with a 2-0 record in the UFC, including a dominant performance against former champion Holly Holm at UFC 300.
