Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland is wasting no time in 2025, scheduling his fourth bout of the year. He is set to return to the octagon on July 19th at UFC 318 in New Orleans, where he will face Daniel Rodriguez.
UFC 318 will be held at the Smoothie King Center and is headlined by a five-round BMF title showdown between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier.
Holland`s quick turnaround, just seven weeks after his last fight, presents an opportunity for him to achieve his first three-fight winning streak in the UFC since 2020, a year where he famously secured five consecutive victories.
Holding a professional record of 28-13 with 1 No Contest, Holland is currently riding momentum from recent wins. He stopped Vicente Luque via knockout three months after earning a decision victory over Gunnar Nelson. Both performances earned him bonus awards and marked a strong rebound following middleweight losses to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
Daniel Rodriguez, with a record of 19-5, is also coming off a strong performance. In May, he defeated Santiago Ponzinibbio by third-round knockout. This win boosted his UFC record to 9-4, adding to a previous decision victory over Alex Morono.
The 38-year-old Rodriguez is aiming for his third consecutive win at UFC 318, looking to build momentum after facing losses against Neil Magny, Ian Machado Garry, and Kelvin Gastelum in 2024.
