The Misfits Boxing 21 event, featuring KSI and Dillon Danis, has been postponed, prompting reactions from both fighters.
The promotion announced on Friday that KSI is suffering from an illness. As a result, the entire event, originally scheduled for March 29 in Manchester, England, has been postponed to a later date. The new date is expected to be announced next week. This is the second time a fight between KSI and Danis has been planned, and it is currently uncertain if all parties will agree to reschedule for a third attempt.
KSI addressed the postponement in a video on social media, explaining the reason for the delay in his first public statement.
“I gave it my best effort, but my body has simply given out,” KSI stated. “I am currently resting in bed, taking antibiotics, trying to recover, but it’s been difficult. I have a constant cough with greenish, yellowish mucus…
“I attempted sparring and training, but my body feels weak. My stamina has drastically decreased.”
Danis, unsurprisingly, showed no sympathy for his opponent’s condition.
Both KSI and Danis last competed at The Prime Card in October 2023, where they both experienced defeats.
KSI concluded his statement expressing hope that the fight can be rescheduled so he can fulfill his promise to defeat Danis in the boxing ring.
“I want to reschedule the fight because I still intend to knock out Dillon Danis,” KSI said. “My hard training will not be wasted.”
