This intriguing matchup pits Lopes, a former title challenger aiming to bounce back from a recent loss to Alexander Volkanovski, against Silva, who has quickly emerged as one of the division`s most exciting prospects, boasting an unblemished 5-0 record inside the octagon.
Prior to his setback in the featherweight title bout, Lopes had compiled an impressive streak of five consecutive victories, including notable wins over contenders such as Brian Ortega, Dan Ige, and Sodiq Yusuff. Despite coming up short in his championship bid, Lopes maintains his position among the top-ranked fighters in the 145-pound division.
On the other side, the 28-year-old Jean Silva, representing the Fighting Nerds team, has made a spectacular impact since joining the UFC roster with a series of dominant performances.
