Edmonton`s goaltender, Stuart Skinner, overcame a shaky start to the series against Vegas, where he allowed 10 goals in the first three games. He finished exceptionally strong, stopping all 45 shots faced over the final six-plus periods across Games 4 and 5. Kasperi Kapanen netted the decisive goal at 7:14 of overtime by poking in a loose puck in the crease, sending the Oilers to their second consecutive Western Conference Final. Florida also won Game 4 with a 2-0 shutout. On Wednesday, Sergei Bobrovsky nearly achieved back-to-back shutouts, stopping the first 31 shots before conceding a goal with just over a minute left. Jesper Boqvist and A.J. Greer both scored their first career playoff goals, and defensemen Aaron Ekblad, Dmitry Kulikov, and Niko Mikkola also contributed offensively, finding the back of the net.
