UFC 316 bonuses: Kayla Harrison caps off epic night with extra $50K

Kayla Harrison and Merab Dvalishvili were among the fighters who delivered standout performances and earned bonus awards at UFC 316 on Saturday.

In the main event, men`s bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili secured his second career victory over rival Sean O’Malley, winning by submission. The co-main event saw Kayla Harrison make a significant impact with a dominant showing against Julianna Peña, becoming the new women`s bantamweight champion.

For their impressive efforts in their respective championship bouts, both Dvalishvili and Harrison were awarded $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses.

Notably, no Fight of the Night bonus was issued for this event. Instead, two additional $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses were granted to other fighters who shone on the card: Kevin Holland and UFC debutant Joo Sang Yoo.

Kevin Holland, competing for the third time this year, demonstrated his grappling prowess on the main card by executing a slick submission against Vicente Luque. This bonus marks Holland`s ninth such award in his UFC career.

Joo Sang Yoo made an incredibly strong first impression in the octagon. He needed just a single punch to knock out Jeka Saragih, securing a memorable victory that improved his professional record to an undefeated 9-0.
