Ricky Simon is set to compete at UFC Atlanta.
Due to a change in opponents, Simon will now face Cameron Smotherman on short notice for the Saturday Fight Night card.
Smotherman is stepping in for Charles Jourdain, who was forced to withdraw from the bout because of an eye injury. The 27-year-old Smotherman is taking the fight quickly after his last one, making this his third appearance in the octagon. He won his UFC debut via decision but lost his second fight.
Simon recently returned to the win column, snapping a three-fight losing streak with a submission victory over Javid Basharat in February. The 32-year-old veteran is preparing for his 15th fight under the UFC banner, seeking his 10th win in the promotion.
The UFC Atlanta event is headlined by a key welterweight matchup: former champion Kamaru Usman`s return against the surging contender Joaquin Buckley.
