The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) might be returning to Brazil in the near future.
According to sources familiar with the plans, the UFC is reportedly planning a Fight Night event in Brazil this October. The specific target date is October 11th, with the proposed venue being the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro. However, the agreement is still pending finalization.
The promotion last held an event in the country in May 2024, which was UFC 301, headlined by Alexandre Pantoja`s successful flyweight title defense against Steve Erceg. That event also took place at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro and attracted an audience of 14,514 spectators.
Additionally, the card featured the return of Jose Aldo from retirement in a co-main event bout against Jonathan Martinez.
Currently, the UFC does not have a traditional broadcast partner in Brazil, having ended its deal with Band TV in early 2025. All events are now broadcast via its streaming service, UFC Fight Pass.
In September 2024, UFC CEO Dana White mentioned that the company was “working on a big deal right now down in Brazil” that they hoped to announce “pretty soon.” However, no further announcements have been made concerning broadcast deals or future events since that time.
